Job Description: Responsibilities include teaching courses in the Industrial Systems program, i.e. Electronics, Industrial Wiring, Motors, Motor controls, PLC's, instrumentation, fluid power, mechanical, pumps and piping and computers.
Projected Courses to be taught
Industrial Mechanics (IDS 215) Pumps and Piping (IDS 231)
Provides instruction in basic physics concepts applicable to mechanics of industrial production equipment, and teaches basic industrial application of mechanical principles with emphasis on power transmission and specific mechanical components. Topics include: mechanical tools, fasteners, basic mechanics, lubrication, bearings, packing and seals. Also provide instruction of fundamental concepts of industrial pumps and piping systems. Topics include: pump identification; pump operation; pump installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting; piping systems; and installation of piping systems.
Minimum Educational Requirements: Associate degree
Skills Required: Electronics, Industrial Wiring, Motors, Motor controls, PLC's, instrumentation, fluid power, mechanical, pumps and piping and computers experience. Prior teaching experience desired. Must be computer literate.
Projected Work Schedule:
Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, 5:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.
Benefits Eligibility: This position is eligible for membership in Georgia Defined Contribution Program only.
Salary Information: Actual salary is based on the candidate’s highest qualifying degree and number of contact teaching hours. Range per hour is $15 to $20.
